As of late, I have noticed people hotlinking some images from a few of my sites, I was considering the standard Mod_rewrite, to block them, or the mod_rewrite to put a blocked image image...or the good old switcharoo on them, however what I really think would work to the best of advantage, is to have some code displayed on their site, say my google adsense code or something...
Any ideas how to do this?

It's possible to block hot linking by using PHP. I could find grab you a tutorial if you're interested.

i'd be carefull with your adsense trifolic, you may end up getting it on non-approved site and get into trouble

Yea I thought about that and decided against the idea, but if I could figure out how to display code, I could place a clickable banner of my own on the site thats hotlinking, If their going to steal BW from me, this way I at least have the chance of stealing some of their visitors..

You can write a small link on the images they are hotlinking to. If you dont want that to appear on the images on your site, just make a copy without it, and change the image links so they point to the copy. In the original image address (that they hotlink to) you will have your image with the link. ;-)
I hope u got what i mean.

Umm I don't know exactly what you mean, right now I have this image to display on their sites.
http://www.w3reports.com/images/w3featured.jpg
And I have it all good and setup in the .htaccess to do this, however what I would like is to make that image clickable on their sites as well.. So its not only displaying my image, but also giving me a link.

What i mean is write on top of this image your web site's address. So their site will display the image, with your url on it.
On YOUR site, you will make a copy of the image, say "w3featured-2.jpg" and show this image, which will not have a written address on it.
I don't think you can make it clickable. That's up to them.

I use .htaccess to stop direct linkers on all of my domains. :/ I think of it as the best way to stop them. I just give my subdomains and domains I want to hotlink (i.e: a banner exchange) permission.

lol people get serious. The hotlinking is done with images, there's no way to load any code in the other guy's site.

Yep. What's talked about on that page is what I use. It works really well.
