Any host who feels they can offer VPS for $10 per month is probably offering space on the Pentium 266 off of my dial-up service.
I know that I'll probably get shown up by some other host later because that seems to happen quite often.
You might be better off looking for a sponsored dedicated server...those are quite hard to come by though.

Yeah...but my friend got one. He was really lucky. I'd just go and buy at least a $20 VPS from Burst.NET if you only plan to host your own site and stuff.

Check out InexpensiveDomains.com. When you go to their website, on the top of the screen click webhosting, this will take you to their webhosting options. Then scroll to the bottom of the screen, there are a couple different packages for VPS, one is $12.95/month.
Tell them I sent you :->

With all of the VPS providers listed above your getting less then 50mb of RAM.
Newk If you only need 100mb or space go for a shared plan. most hosts will allow you to purchase a dedicated ip at an extra cost monthly8i Networks - Advanced Web Solutions

I think Hard Hat Hosting has exactly what you want...I don't have the link though, but they're in WHT's "Virtual Private Servers" link.

It's possible they've improved recently, but we had a server with redwoodvirtual for about a week, and, well, it was awful. Server (bare! just sshd running) was ridiculously sluggish, and we were unable to find anywhere we could connect to in excess of 40Kb (yes, bits) per second. We were going to use them for a DNS slave, but just cancelled; what little we saw has turned us off them for good.

The cheapest plan eapps offer, could be the option you are looking for
http://eapps.com/Docs/VPSStandardPrices.jsp
About their support and avg time to resolved issues, they are pretty fast and efficient.
The 10$ plan doesnt come with postgresql or mysql, it comes with SQLite, but i am sure you can install postgresql or mysql if you need it, tought that would consume your resources and maybe the Standard plan would be not just enough for what you planning for.e4 was always my favorite openning , but i end up with d4... as white.
