How I long For Venturesonline

Ever since ventures merged with data393 I feel the level of service has dropped, slow responce to the help desk and my sites are painfully slow at times, so for me its time to move on, I am looking for a quaility host with VPS, I was told to use Ventures last time I asked on here a couple of years ago!!

PLEASE give me good advice again

Many Thanks John

Have a dig round the VPS forums here and you should find some decent recommendations

For VPS I would recommend ev1servers:

http://ev1servers.net/english/vps_series.asp

Also make sure to check up VPS section on the forum.

That's the n-th time I read something like this. It always saddens me to hear that a good company is not good anymore.

Good luck in your search John28uk!

It means the merger was not successful

Maxo,

It doesn't mean the merger wasn't successful, just means the newer company got rid of the older employees whom were holding the load or keeping things in tip-top shape.

The merge happened - so it was a "success".
Although the clients may not feel that way.

It seems the larger the company gets the worse the customer service gets. And, that applies to all industries, not just ours.

Little wonder I get nervous when one of our existing hosts gets taken over (or 'merges'). For me, I pick a host for a reason... seeing them swallowed by some other company must always expose that reason to some sort of risk.

You may want to check out http://www.webhsp.com in this case. Data393 just sold their CPanel shared clients to them. Data393Info.net says the following:

Who is Web HSP, LLC?

Web HSP was founded in June, 2004 by Pat Fread and John Burns. Pat and John were two of the original founders of Ventures Online and have over 12 years combined experience in web Hosting. Many of you have worked directly with John and Pat and they are both excited about working with each of you. You can visit the Web HSP website at www.webhsp.com.

Good luck with your search!

I believe if they start dropping they usually will sell the company. The new owners usually bring it back up if that is what is going to happen. Then again nothing could happen so I guess brace yourself for the worst and hope for the best.

Regards
