very good start with site5.com

this is a copy of my live chat with support :] :

Chat InformationYou are now chatting with 'Site5'
Site5: Hello, Welcome to Site5.Com. How can I help you?
you: hi
Site5: Hi
you: i have a question, is it possible to buy a reseller plan if i'am a customer from poland ?
Site5: Yes, you can. We have many customers from all over the world
you: great, another one: is there any policy on sending emails ? i have a forum software and from time to time ( lets say twice a month ) i'm in need of sending a newsletter , would that be a big problem ? about 1000+ mails
Site5: Nope, we put no restrictions on the emails. You do need to just make sure that anyone in a list is double opt-in
you: ok
you: im reading abut the backups, it is written that they're not guaranteed.... so if i have a reseller account i will have to make backups personally for every client i will host ?
you: (and store them on my machine ? )
Site5: That would be best. We do nightly and weekly backups, but they are more for full restore purposes rather than just restore individual accounts here and there.
you: so this is problematic i see, but i think i can manage that
Site5: There are of course instances where they will help out, but we have a program in place so that we aren't having to restore 500 sites/day because of webmaster mistakes
Site5: So we recommend that they create backups themselves as well for reassurance
you: i understand :]
Site5:
you: since i dont have a domain bought yet , is it possible to buy both a reseller account and a domain name at the same time ?
Site5: We don't handle domain name registrations, you can go to namecheap.com and get one for under $10 and then come right back to us for your hosting needs
you: k, i will be hosting my own page ( portal + forum - based on phpbb ) it will be about 2000-3000 (its about 1000 visits a day now ) visits a day, will there be problems with server load ? and if so can i expect any help in resolving problems like that ?
Site5: Yes, our support team will work with you on figuring out what is causing the load and even work with you on streamlining everything to be less resource intensive
Site5: I doubt you'll be having much of a problem, how many visitors do you average online at one time right now? (active)
you: 10-20, but its database intensive i've had problems with my current host, but the machine is slow celeron 1,2ghz and 256 mb of ram if i recall
Site5: We run on dual 2.8 xeons with over 2gb of ram
Site5: you'll be fine with that load
you:
Site5: We typically tell people to start looking into dedicated servers once they get to the simultaneous 35+ users
you: yeah but if google crawler or msn crawls in i hope it wont kill server or my site and i dont get suslended :] its about 10000+ pages , not counting the forum :]
Site5: If you're interested, I have a promotional code I could offer you for today
Site5: It would give you your first month for just $1 if you order any plan on a quarterly or longer basis
Site5: That's fine, I really think you will be ok. We won't just suspend your site either, we have a great policy in place to work with you and figure out a way to minimize your downtime while we still attend to the problems if there is one
you: thats great
you: i will not be buing today, but can i post our conversation on webhostingtalk.com , i think it will be helpful to ppl as it is helpful to me now :]
you: ill probably get back to you when i'll get the money
Site5: Great
you: so i wont be taking your time anymore :] bye and thanks
Site5: You're welcome, thank you for the time and interest. Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions, thanks again. Have a great day
you: goodnight
Site5:
it was 1am here in poland and i am impressed with the feedback from the stuff... i'm not sure i will pick site5 as my host but its highly probable :]

( sorry for bad english )
PS.
I hope someone will find this thread helpful
