RegisterFly or Enom
I have few hundred domains at RegisterFly.
Recently registered an Enom ETP account.
Is it wise to transfer all my domains over to Enom?
Will Enom support be better and my domains safer there?

I have had to deal with eNom support a couple of times and they have always resolved the problem and been easy to deal with. I also have a bunch of domains with RegisterFly and they've always been reliable, but I've never had to deal with support (yet).
I think your domains are safe at either place. RegisterFly is really an eNom reseller, so your domains are going to be with eNom regardless. You can find negative reports on both places (just like you can with just about any big registrar out there).

I have some very bad experiences at RegisterFly relating to security and support.
This is why I am considering shifting.
Transfering few hundred domains will involves thousands of dollars.
I am checking if the support is better at Enom and if domains are safer with Enom than with it's reseller.

I myself have been happy with the support at eNom. Haven't had to many problems at RF except for their buggy transfer away problem. If you transfer a domain away from RF it stays in your account. You have to go through RF support to have it removed and they told me it had to be done manually. Last year I bought a domain for $200 which the seller pushed into my RF account. Come to find out when I tried to update the data the domain had been transferred to DirectNIC 5 months prior! You want to talk about safe? When I log into to my account I want to know that the system removes a domain once it has been transferred. In this case the seller always saw that one domain sitting in his account when he logged in so all was safe and secure. Wrong. It was transferred away and remained in his RF control panel.

I had bad experience with Security with Registerfly as well.
I do not think it will be a good idea to transfer hunder domain names to eNom.
Anyways when I register a new domain name, I always stick to Namecheap, but that is off topic, just my suggestion.

I have thousands of of names with RegisterFly.com(5000+) and a few hundred at enom and they are both fine. I just prefer the bulk interface at registerFly and the fact I can call 24 x 7 and speak to someone.
The transfer away issue of names staying behind is common to many registrars(and resellers) it is annoying but easy to deal with.

For the record, I have yet to have a domain remain in my account at eNom after a transfer. Once there was a glitch when pushed domains didn't clear out but that was fixed. I consider a recurring problem like this to be a flaw that I couldn't overlook. At least Richard has a resync button at NameCheap that allows you to try and force the clearing of transferred domains. Waiting for chat "help" at RF is an inconvenience.

Actualy RF has a refresh tool. Go to reports->run refresh
This will remove transferred away domains and also make sure the expire/create dates are cool in your account

Wow. Yesterday the person on chat with me said I had to contact them everytime because they didn't have a tool. Maybe they need to train their employees on the functions of their control panel.

if it was me i'd like to manage all domains from once place and since you're an ETP it would be better to have your domains with a company that treat you as a partner rather than like an end user.

I have wirtten some very positive review about Enom here at WHT. So I believe it is not a risk to transfer your domain there.
Bets Regards

I think either company is safe, thats just a call for you to reseach and make. I use registerfly, and I have over 500 domains with them.

Exactly. So Rain Maker's question is whether to deal with eNom directly himself? I don't see why not, esp. when he's already got his own ETP account.

Prior to becoming and ETP with eNom, we also used registerfly.
Their support was horrible, and their control panel was very buggy. (This was about 2 years ago.)
We've *never* had a problem with eNom that wasn't resolved within 24 hours. I highly recommend them.
