What specs would you recommend?

I'm not quite ready for a dedicated yet but would like the freedom a VPS offers. I have been looking at a lot of providers and would like some input on what specs I should keep in mind for my needs.

I run/will be running about 30 websites. Most if not all will use some sort of PHP/mySQL application (Mambo, vBulletin, phpBB), so I know guaranteed RAM is a concern. What's the minimum you would recommend to keep the sites loading quickly? Are there any other specs/numbers I should keep in mind?

Thanks

Little to none - I'm still working on getting them set up, promoting them, etc.

I wouldn't go under 256MB guaranteed RAM for what you're going to be running. You should keep the guaranteed CPU amount in mind, as well. How many concurrent users do you expect to be on your forums, and how much transfer will be used each month?

Nice to see you back at WHT even though you sold your hosting company .
