I haven't been getting very good results from site uptime lately. Their site is often down, quick check doesn't always work, stats seem unreliable.

i use alertra to monitor my server. works well.

Yep, siteuptime has been reporting some false outages to me recently.

I also use hyperspin.com, been with them for about a year al mostly good, limited testing though.
