my MS DNS servers intermitently stop resolving names, I get calls from customers believing their sitesa re down but is just the DNS not resolving, I have to re-start the DNS for it to work again.
Anybody experiencing this ?
The server is windows 2000 advanced server.

Have you looked at the Event Viewer?

You'll find something there!

I would also suggest to switch to SimpleDNS instead of using MS' DNS server

I downloaded and install the trial version of Simple DNS in my test server, it looks good and simple, questions, it does not seem to run as a service, is this a problem ? I mean making sure that it is actually up and running for example after a reboot.
Also, is there a way to migrate the hundreds of MS DNS zones I already have into Simple DNS ?
