Anyone a guru or have a good checklist for this? I'm doing it on slackware and get apache, mod-ssl, php, mysql working fine - FP is another story - doesn't seem to be much help...BTW, if you want my script for everything minus FP let me know.

We (Can-Host Networks) decided that we would not offer Frontpage Extensions on our future servers, for a few reasons:

- We have it right now, and it work correctly 1 time on 2... and it can'T really be debugged because you have no ideas what is wrong

- It is a potential privacy/security threat, as it sets all file permissions to 'nobody' (for some stupid reasons), thus anyone with a malicious perl script can read / modify / delete a file controled by another front page user.

- After our initial experience, we noticed that about 0.1% of our customers are using Frontpage (requested it), and out of these, there are some that requested it because it was marked as 'free' but had no clues on what it was

Bottom line... you do what you want, but I don't recommend it.

FP Extensions are a pain in the..... Out of 130 clients the 3 that use FP take up %30 of my time. I've decided not to offer them anymore. It's not worth my time.
