Network Redux??!!

Hello my friends,

Does anyone know anything more about Network Redux. They seem to offer "mega" plans.

I would appreciate any info on the company.

Thank you,

Adi

P.S Now I am with Spiral Host but I'm looking to move on with the hosting business.

Angry

I regret that my first post is on an old subject and its also negative feedback for this company...

I have been a customer for about 4 months now and in the beginning their service was astounding. Almost instant responses to any inquiries. For the last month however, something has changed. Frequent downtimes, sometimes lasting an hour. Very delayed responses to support tickets. Right now I submitted a high priority support request because they decided to screw up their php.ini file (safemode settings) and now I can't even make a page with a .php extension to it. Even if it doesn't have any php coding on it, it wont work. Change it back to .html, no problems. I submitted the ticket yesterday... no response.

I called this morning to talk to someone, and their phone system "couldn't connect" to a sales rep. WTF?

What really burns me about this is that I had 2 potential clients which I was doing a mock design for, and I lost one of them cuz their server wouldn't let me make a php page. That was a $1500 php/mysql intranet job I just lost. Not cool.

Buyer beware. Do your homework and keep this post in mind.

**UPDATE**

Regarding my earlier post, I would like to take back what was said as much as possible. This situation got worked out shortly after this post.

As shameful as it may be, I can be a man and take responsibility for a large part of this problem I had by using the old tech support acronym on myself in this situation

P.E.B.C.A.K.

Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard

No need for details on my blunder, but these guys are a class act. My apologies to Network Redux.

6deep,

I am glad you got your problem worked out. Kudos to you for coming back and clarifying what had happened and taking ownership for what truly caused "a large part of this problem".

So many people come here, unfairly attempt to tarnish a hosting companies reputation, for a mistake they caused.

Have a great day and I wish you continued success with Network Redux.

Now that is one I have to remember!

Glad to hear everything worked out for you, and more that you can stand up to what is right and wrong. Spot on!

They're not so good. They advertise that they will assist with data migration but after waiting two weeks to a request and nothing was done I cancelled.

Plus they gave me DNS settings to nameservers which were not registered.

Hello,

In order to address this concern, would you mind supplying the domain you signed up for services with? All of our migration requests get handled within a 24 hour window -- if you did not receive an email response there is a possibility that the message from our support system was treated as spam by your remote mail servers.

Regarding unregistered nameservers, as we are not the owner of the domain in question we do not have the authority to login to your registrar account and register your nameservers.

This is generally the responsibility of the reseller. We create the zone file within our network which contains the correct A records for the hosts, however, you must register the nameservers with your registrar prior to using them.

We provide in depth documentation on this including a knowledge base article which walks you through registering nameservers.

I'm a customer of network redux. I have a "reseller" account. All of my queries for help have been promptly addressed so i find it hard to believe that they took 2 weeks to respond. I've been using network redux for over 6 months and I'll be renewing my subscription when the time comes for another year.

I "dug" this up because Network Redux actually sent me an email this morning asking if I wanted to give a testimonial (or a complaint) about their services. I'm a true believer in telling people what I think about their services, good or bad. Believe me...I muckrake just as much if not more (see my site: http://www.candwsucks.org). Network Redux has been a great company and they deserved to hear about it so I sent them back my testimonial. If anything, it serves to encourage them to continue on their so-far positive services and keep me happy.

Because of this testimonial, I also remembered webhostingtalk which as you can see..I haven't had to visit for quite some time (because I've been so please with my host). I wanted people to know about Network Redux, because their success means that they will be able to continue to stick around and please me. My motivation was purely selfish, well...not purely...I remember wondering if Network Redux was any good months ago....and I thought it only fair to pass on my knowledge to people that may be wondering the same thing today.

Do you approve?

Anyway, this post lists some of my sites, or sites I host for friends/clients:
