Burst..

Hi!
The only problem I have with burst...I don't care too much for their quick and curt replies to any criticism of their company or network.

I don't think it sends a positive message to me..or anybody...that this is a company I want to trust with my customers or my business.

I just don't get good vibes from them at all.

Bryon

Well they used to be complete rubbish, but from what I've heard things are starting to look up and support is getting very good.

Never known of issues with their network though TBH.

Hi!
Yes..I know. I have spent countless hours on this board and elsewhere trying my darnest to learn as much as I can from mistakes other's have made...so I don't make them myself.

You'll see what I'm talking about shortly.

I'm trying to get them to understand that this is not a good practice of theirs to quickly discount any mention of past problems or opinions.

True...the network has improved. True...the support has improved. It's the same company, though. Anybody can do a search with google and find plenty.

Just like the zoneserv situation...it seems that if you really wanted to completely divorce the past...you would change it's name...or at least claim "Under new management/ownership".

It sends a very negative message to people like me who have never used their services...but many consider it..if they change the tone of these rebuttal posts.

If they don't..I won't consider them at all.

As always...that's *my* opinion. It's how *I* feel. As always..do the research...come to your own conclusions.

Bryon

Not sure what you guys are referring to, but if it is our comments rebutting individuals/others here that are trolling, well...we have a right defend our company--and I would question any company that doesn't defend theirs in the same situation. WHT is a hot bed of immaturity sometimes, and false information, and we have a right to stand up for ourselves and refute such. If anything, you should respect us for caring so much about our company.

We have no desire to "divorce" the past. We have been in this industry since it was an industry, was one of the forefathers of development of control panel automation that almost every host uses today, have played a huge role in reducing the price of virtual hosting & dedicated servers in the market as a whole, and have built our company into an INC500 company to boot. We've had our growing pains along the way, and have learned from such, and improved on such. Our support has not "improved" lately, it has always been good, and what we are known best for--the quality of our tech support staff. We did have billing issues in the past, but that is way in the past, and was resolved 2-3 years ago when we implemented new billing software. Of course we have an issue or complaint here and there--we are only human, and have a very large client base, and these things happen. The network has steadily progressed in stability and reliability, since we began to focus our efforts on such, since mid-last year--and continue on focusing on at the present time.

So, you are right however--we are the "same company"--and proud of it...and what we have accomplished (starting as just a small hosting reseller ourselves like many of you.)..and what we have done for this industry as a whole.

You're correct - both Josh and I are testing out one of the VPS packages, and everything is going very well. We've had absolutely no stability issues at all, but it wouldn't be fair for me to post a full review of the VPS service yet. We're going to start using the VPS to host a few of our other websites probably within the next week though, so I'm confident that it's a good choice. Support has always been top-notch in my experience, and it's the same support team working on the VPS line so that's always a plus.

Watch out for the full review in a month or so.

- Matt

Yes, I'd recommend a VPS at Burst. (As Matt said above, we'll post a full review soon, but we do recommend their VPS line).

Hi!
It's clear they have not used the service for a month yet...but have had good service with it so far. It's up to you to do what you want.

I personally do not start recommending service with anyone until I've been with that host for several months.

I have not had a VPS for more than a month anywhere...so..there you go.

I do have a rather large rant on the subject. Do a search under my user name if you want. It's against the rules to crosspost.

Bryon

I can also recommend a VPS from BurstNET. I have had one for a few weeks now, and have been nothing but happy with the service. There was a brief outage where some hardware failed on the host machine I am on, but it was fixed quickly and support tickets were responded to within a minute or so.

The network has been absolutely wonderful. I had a dedicated server with them about a year ago, and the network has even improved greatly (from my perspective) since then. There is a considerable change in packet loss (for the better!) and I really could not ask for better speeds.

As everyone always brags about the support, I feel that I should do the same. I have so far dealt with a few support people and all have been incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to respond. Each response is professionally written and always addresses the issue at hand, providing concise solutions and suggestions to correct a problem. I have never seen a better support staff.. truly.

I stongly recommend and suggest that anyone looking for a stable, fast, and wonderfully supported VPS give BurstNET a serious look.
