Rent a new server
I logged in as root, but from the server i can not connect
outside machines. Can only ping itself.

From outside we can reach this server.

any suggestions?

did you try pinging any site. try ping google.com from console , see what's the response ... does it resolve to an ip? if not then you have a DNS problem, you can fix editing /etc/resolv.conf, if it resolves to an ip then maybe your firewall is configured to drop outgoing packets.

Double check your gateway and netmask settings.
