The APF Firewall, makes huge logging in var/log/messages , even the status of it is shown as Jan 24 20:55:55 ***** apf(4213): firewall offline

What is the reason behind this? Is it useful and if we want how can we stop it? Thank you for your attention and time.


Ps: It always takes this kind of log:

iptables -L are there rules?

there are no rules under that command, but the logs of the firewall are still present..

Also, we have another question: when we try to use DosSystemCommand in mod_dosevasive to add blacklisted ips to the iptables, it doesn't work. Is there anyway to make this?
