It has been a while since I visited my Forums. For those of you that didn't know .. yes The Doctor ..actually had his own forums.

Anyway I thought it was about time I slipped by my forum and read some post and answered the hundreds of post that would bound to be there waiting for me.

When I tried to get there it was Gone. Instead I just got the following message ..

When was Plug-in-Community discontinued?

Clients were notified on or before Tuesday, February 10, 2004 prior to service discontinuation on Friday, March 26, 2004.

I am a client. Is there still time to export my users and messages?

If you are a client, you can request a Demographics Report via your Control Center that includes a CSV file of your community's usernames. Wednesday, March 31, 2004 was the announced deadline to order an XML message archive. They are no longer available.

Where can I find a replacement for Plug-in-Community?

Some people are just thoughtless, how am I going to cope without my own forums. I mean it was great having my own forum, I didn't have to wory about moderators. I could say anything I liked. I could delete or modify any post I liked, I could ban anybody I liked .. gee it was great. Mind you I never banned any female members.

Go install some forum software on your hosting space, and then you'll be better protected from something like this.

Yes but everyone.net was fantastic. It was the best forum setup going. it has some marvelous features.

1. It was free
2. You used there bandwidth not yours .. also free
3. It was already code up and everything, all you had to do was link to it.
4. You could link to as many communities as you liked which gave the impression that you were really big an important.

As part of my religous beliefs (Bush Baptist .. No connection to that strange American bloke they call bush)) we are taught that the internet should be free.
