very new.. and very confused :)

Hey guyz.
I have just been using a reseller.
I dont do a web hosting business tho. Its just for my personal site.. well two sites.
i just opened up 4 days ago. and i have 500 unuiqe hits total. until today. i dont know, how much i will be getting a month. But I wont be using much Bandwith since its just a comein and go site..

but i wnat to be on a fast server. Now from other posts I am advised that buying a VDS or a VPS is cheaper then dedicated.

I was looking at fdcservers, and i might just buy it. But i got lots of questions. here i go

Can I setup client accounts?

WHATS THE BEST OS TO USE?

AND WHAT PANEL. i am thinking about either cpanel.whm (since i use them or directpanel

Do i have to do anything to the server? I have no knowedge, although i will google some ssh commands, i dont exactly know how servers work.

is 64 megabytes of ram ENOUGH? lol its kinda slow for my computer so i dont know how it will do for a server.

Will it require maintaince (VPS) ?

Do i have to INSTALL all of the stuff? like the OS, and cpanel and the cpanel features like Spamassasin, and fantasico. Because i sersiuly dont know how to do that.hehe.

and when you reply, pplease explain more about these things to me. thanks

I have answered many of your questions on the FDC Servers forum. Look at my profile, and contact me via: AIM/MSN/Yahoo/ICQ/Website and I will be glad to answer any questions you might have. Good Luck!

honestly ...

a reseller account with a reputable provider is going to perform MUCH better than a VPS with fdcservers ...

that's just my two cents ...

cheers!
