Don't use their spyware. Simple as that. Spybot anyone?

That's why I use Ad-Aware... I don't think I'll trust Microsoft's spyware & virus utilities anytime soon. WeatherBug is a real pain, especially when it ends up being installed on 10+ computers in an office, and you're forced to remove it from each...

I use Forecastfox and the weather online. What does their spyware do?

Well, it's not Weatherbug that is the pain. It's the software that you install that pre-checks it and installs it on top of the main product you are installing.

I know of no program that installs Weatherbug without your knowledge. Just be careful and don't click "easy install" the next time you want to install something. Instead click "customized install" and select what you need.

I like having Weatherbug and I do pay the $19.95 a year for it.

Weatherbug isn't spyware. If you use the free version, it uses ad rotations within the software to support the free client. You still have access to most of the content for free.

If you elect to pay the $19.95 a year then the ads are removed and you have access to more advanced features.

Its useful for now but, I never expected them to really remove everything.

Every adware/spyware company out there will be filing lawsuits soon and will have their program out of the signatures soon.

Oh well, Microsoft finally did something right and had to mess that up.
