Could you please help me find a free host to host my domain for a while?
I need to find a free host that allows hosting of your own domain name. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

There are hardly any free hosts that allows your domain to be hosted with them, another alternative, why not do a redirection instead?

Try the free Single X plan at affordablehost.com (see http://www.affordablehost.com/cpanel.shtml). Then when you are ready to pay for hosting you can move up to one of their other plans. They have a good reputation for service, value, and reliability for a low-cost host.

In case atspace.com doesn't fit your needs
you can enable domain forwarding in the domain control panel
of your domain registrar

I can't help but ask...
If you are offering (from what you call your homepage) an on-line web site building course why would you want a free host?
It would seem you should either get in or get out. I'm not "flaming" but I can't imagine being qualified to have a site purporting to teach about web site design and not be able to afford $4-$5 a month for a host...

PS: If it's not for you but for your visitors it would be more simple to explain that when they create a site they should expect to pay a few dollars for someone to host it or if they are beginners or young people to do without their own name on a free host, use their ISP if they offer some free space, or something like that.

The keyword is "TEMPORARY". My site is not ready yet, I just need a placeholder before it is up and running.
