recieve download prompt after installing new patches to virgin Raq

    Hi There,

I was installing a few prerequist patches to my new raq4r system... I had to install these (in order) before I could install the new OSUpdate-2.0. These patches included:

    RaQ4-en-OSUpdate 1.0
    RaQ4-All-Security-1.0.3-8762 (DOS /tmp attack)
    RaQ4-All-System-1.0.1-9882 (DNS update)
    RaQ4-All-Security-1.0.1-10602 (Apache Update)
    RaQ4-All-Kernel-1.0.1-2.216C28III (Kernel Update)

Now since installing a couple of these patches (and not even the OSUpdate 2.0) I get a File Download box popping up asking if I want to download a file from this location. The file name is "www.mydomain[1]"....

why is this happening and how can I fix it?

    Thanks,

    -dr

What type of file is your default page. Is it PHP ( index.php ) or HTML ( index.html )?

What I am after, I know some patches removed/changed the PHP stuff in httpd.conf

    more info...

it appears that this is because it is an index.php file... if I change this to index.html it loads up fine....

    Any thoughts?

    problem solved

It appears that one of the patches disabled PHP from that site... and thus it wasn't working properly.... I should have checked that earlier, however I didn't think to.

All appears to be working fine now.

    Thanks for the moral support!

So you did feel I was at least thinking about you

This happened to me when I applied a patch maybe 6 months ago and I know I found about this on Rackshack forum. Yesterday I search for the thread but didn't find it, then I just forgot about it.
