I was wondering iif its possible to forward an IP and port to a specific domain so users can just go to something.com instead of something.com:1234

If you have a dedicated ip address for something.com, this is possible with tcpproxy (or something similar) running on the web port. However, by the way you're asking the question, I suspect that's not the case...you'd just run the port 1234 service on port 80.
