Hey guys,
Well time to venture on a new type of site ( for me atleast ) soon to be a string of sites. To launch it will be your basic vid clips, images, flash animations type site like many out there, with daily news etc.
First question: Can anyone recommend a good company to get a media server on? Media server basically being the mule server that will house the movies, images, and other crap that wil be shown on the main site. Will likely need IP type thing so I assume dedicated or VPS is in order so I can do media.mysite.com right? Would liekly need high bandwidth too.
Second: Eventually as I've seen before, the site will have heavy loads due to the amount of people on it and mysql uses etc. At that point I assume its time to move the main site dedicated server, or should I just get a mysql server?
Again sorry if this has been discussed, I searched and read for a few hours on here beforehand.. nothing specific to my needs.
looking to do this pretty soon... I've outgrown HG :-p
