I have I (think) a straight forward DNS question. I have my private name servers with Network Solutions under the name of NS.mydomain.com and NS2.mydomainname.com. I am moving to a new hosting company that will provide me private DNS through their DNS/BIND. We set up the Name Servers at the new hosting company using the same naming conventions (NS.xxx and NS2.xxx). The question is this, when I get ready to move the domains, do I need to:
1) Just go to Network Solutions and change the IP's for the 2 name servers
- OR -
2) Go to Network Solutions and change the IPs of the 2 name servers AND change the IP's in the name server records of each of the domains that are being moved over.
