Macromedia Studio Mx


Hi,
Does any one know how many pcs you can have studio mx on?
Is there licence simlar to photoshop where you can have it on two pcs but only use one at a time?

If they are on a network the program will check to see if the same program with the same serial # is running and will not let you open it. Really sucks

Not sure otherwise.

Studio MX can only be registered to one entity. I believe it is perfectly ok to have dual installations, but as you said, only one can be active at any given time, and I believe there's a stipulation the second one cannot be used for commercial purposes unless it is to the benefit of the registered owner of the license, or something to that effect. Either way, you can install it on more than one PC, even Studio MX 2004.

Thanks

So If i installed studio mx 2004 on two machines under the same entity,only one can be active at any time.And 1 machine can only be used for commerical uses whilst the other is restricted?

Just Checking as Studio Mx 2004 is on its way

That's my understanding, but I'd check the user agreement before proceeding just to be sure. It's usually spelled out very clearly. I just got Adobe CS and this is how their license agreement is laid out - I'm fairly sure Macromedia is the same.
