Server dropping from certain ISPs

I am having a problem reaching my server from a Verizon ISP. I have determined that APF/IPTABLES is causing my server to deny the connections as I took down APF and I was able to access my server. I am trying to determine why the firewall is dropping Verizon. I did a tail on /var/log/messages, and I attempted to access a site with the firewall up, but I did not see any error. I also matched up the drops in iptables -L with the IP addresses that appear in the tracert from Verizon to my server, but I did not have any luck with that either. Any ideas of where I should look to see what is causing me to drop Verizon?
