How much would you pay? Live Website Editing

I have been in talks with someone I know who has developed a program so people can edit their websites live within a browser. It supersedes all live web editing services I have found online and very user easy, anyway I am negoitiating a licence for this so i can offer this as a plugin in or mod for cPanel and offer it to hosts.

The pricing system will be based on per server or per site for smaller users. How much would you pay per month per server for live website services???

Please note at this stage this project (the live website editor is completed but continually worked on) is only in development stages so am just asking what people think. I can not provide a demo at this stage but its live editing just like say dreamweaver but browser based, templates can be used but doesn't rely on a template architecture like others do.

Microsoft FrontPage extension already offer that same type of function. you can create a folder put all your file in edit and view online without publishing it. when you ready to go...just convert the folder into web folder or move it into the root folder.

There are already products out there on the market that are great online website builders.

Cpanel and Plesk already have 'Site Builder' available as a plugin. I dont want to sound negative, but you may have a hard time with your new development since Site Builder is already quite well established.

But i certainly wish you luck

Or just "Open Web", and work live with the server, each time you save that page etc. No need to upload the changes up etc.

I remember years ago I and a few mates were building a website in FrontPage, and that's how all of us built it, from different locations. Got tricky with a few of us saving pages at the same time, but it worked out ok.

Looking back, that site was so lame, but we thought we were internet gods at the time
