Tomsyer's Bad support

In the time that i have been with tomsyer as a dedicated server provider i havent had to deal much with their support team Each time i have had to deal with them it has been extremely rude and unprofessional. But this time just crosses the line.

I sent in a support ticket asking tomsyer if they could setup a server and il give them the money in a couple of days because it was a server i resold off them and 2checkout.com was taking a while to get me my money. I provided them valid screenshot and showed them that it was legit and that this wasnt going to be a screw over.

3 hours later after the ticket had seen 16 reviews and not ONE reply. I replied asking if anyone was going to reply to it..

THen after a total of 8 hours it was a reply that i had to email billing. They did not include any information whatsoever on the best means to contact them.

I replied asking for the manager of the support team or the company because a reply like that in that period of time is unacceptable. After which Tom from tomsyer.net emailed me stating:
"
Jon:

1) Please review our terms of service at tomsyer.net and read section 14.
2) We can not provide credit to customers unfourtantley you will have to pay for the
servers at time of order.

Please order via tomsyer.net/forms if you wish to obey our terms of service.

Thank you"

Now the terms of service states that disrespect to "staff" will have the server deleted. Not only will this be illegal and a court matter this shows that these guys should not being doing business.

My question: Where am i abusing staff? or threatening staff? is it that the company is soo insecure of their clients that they have to act defensive?

I give tomsyer the 2 thumbs down and the official warning to avoid them now.

Without seeing the actual ticket you submitted it's hard to say if you said anything abusive.

most complaints seem to be from people that think they get a fully managed server for $80 a month. Not the case...

Yeah, for the most part if you review all the "bad support @ tomsyer" cases you'll find most people thought they were getting more than they paid for.... which could be part of Tom's marketing tactics but never the less don't expect the world for $49.99/month

Too bad for them, they probably also don't like bad reviews posted here. Neither of these do they have control over.

Wait a second I know its common sense and all but newbs don't and it seems like that is what they are counting on.

If you offer me the world for 49.95 and I pay you 49.95 damnit I want what I paid for.

I was giving tomsyer some serious consideration until I started reading some of the post's about them on various forums. I dont expect managed services, But I expect DC issues / Billing issues to be handled promptly and the staff to treat customers with respect.

It would be real nice to see tomsyer turn into a friendly place to buy your servers from but it looks like this years server grooming will not include new services from tomsyer.

The thing with Tomsyer they do have alot staff, why does it take them so long to reply?

Or is it a company where they login when they feel like it?

Support tickets and client email can be considered confidential depending on the TOS/AUP of a company. You all might want to think about entering some text about that into your TOS/AUP, might save you some slander.

Dont really think this was a bad review anyway. The guy didn't have the money, most likely got angry and swore at the staff when they wouldn't front him a server.
