http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...rt_evanescence

w0w, I guess people DON'T pay attention to tipper's stickers but they weren't on those cds, probably for that very reason. I think bottom line is,its just another attempt to get $$$$ And people seem to make up ANY EXCUSE to try and extract it these days!!

The hit group's latest CD and DVD, "Anywhere But Home," don't carry parental advisory labels alerting potential buyers to the obscenity. If they did, Wal-Mart wouldn't carry them, according to the retailer's policy.
It would actually seem that they are sueing because it didn't have the parental advisory labels. While it's not Wal-Marts responsbility to make sure the label is there, it is their responsbility for the items they sell.

Guess it's time that they start informing themselves about the products they sell.

They are saying that Walmart knew because an in-store sampler had the word censored. Stupid lawsuit though.

But the lawsuit claims Wal-Mart knew about the explicit lyrics in the song, "Thoughtless," because it censored the word in a free sample available on its Web site and in its stores.

It's kind of funny after Wal-Mart has made such a big deal about how they won't sell certain magazines without a blackout cover on the front or CDs that are known to have vulgar lyrics.

What the story doesn't say is that the mother went back to Walmart and yelled at an employee:

"You f-ers sold my young daugther a f-ing cd with the f-ing word in it".

It's not their own, the only track on that CD/DVD with the f-word is a cover of thoughtless by korn.

I found the story funny, it's a rock band and it's a collection of live tracks, how many decent rock bands will get through a live show without somekind of expression that proablly isn't suitable for young kids? just another feeble attempt to get some money from a large company.

p.s the CD/DVD rocks, go buy it
