In WHM under server status my memory used is at 31%, but when I go to System Health > Show Current CPU Usage the memory % total doesn't even equal 15% and the cpu usage doesn't total over 5%?

I wouldn't really tend to trust any of the server status scripts, cpu usage, etc within WebHostManager.
Best bet is to use 'top'.

I do agree. In our control panel, we see cpu/ram and load differently than if we were to do 'top'. I've always assumed that the web evironment addes a few extra pounds on the usage b/c it's running the control panel on top of the OS vs just checking the system directly. I could be wrong but thats how it always seems/works to me.

You need to run it via SSH, here is a description of what it is.
Quote:
DESCRIPTION
top provides an ongoing look at processor activity in real time. It
displays a listing of the most CPU-intensive tasks on the system, and
can provide an interactive interface for manipulating processes. It
can sort the tasks by CPU usage, memory usage and runtime. can be bet-
ter configured than the standard top from the procps suite. Most fea-
tures can either be selected by an interactive command or by specifying
the feature in the personal or system-wide configuration file. See
below for more information.

seems like you are new when i first started using linux yrs ago, i used "top" and after using it i was like "how the heck do i get out"- to get out hit "q"--- another obvious tip for the night! I did a quick search and found this for you so maybe you can look it over and study it. http://www.ss64.com/bash/

Best thing would be to install linux on a desktop machine to work with it, there are also a whole ton of good books on Amazon for Linux, I have bought a bunch when I first started learning about 5 years ago and they did wonders
