SSL installation

When I tried to access a domain after installing ssl for it, it shows the following error msg.

The security certificate was issued by a company that you have not chosen to
trust. View the certificate to determine whether you want to trust the
certifying authority

What do I do to get rid of it?? Please help!

Thank you.

Would you mind giving a link to the website? Somehow I don't think you have yoru geotrust cert installed (Geotrust is accepted by something like 98% of browsers). I think you ended up with the Snakeoil cert actually installed.

But I saw a solution for it in the by searching google for the error. It says, you can take it in the browser, right click and take properties.
There is an option to install certificate. Coz the error is due to some "The root certificate of the Certificate Authority (CA) that issued the Web site's certificate is not in the client browser's Trusted Root Certification Authority store. The message does not affect the establishment of a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) session between the client and the server." But this is not practical if you think everyone who takes the site needs to install that way.

Well thats why I believe that you did not actually install your GeoTrust certificate, or you installed it wrong. A GeoTrust certificate would be in your Trusted Root Certification Authority Sotre.
