I didn't even realize that Fortune City was still around. I made my first little webpage with them back in early 1998. It had a title in large font, a photo and a little text underneath it and I was so proud. I thought I was a web guru at the time.

They started long time ago when hosting packages were expensive and even the domain names. They offered free accounts and you didn’t even had to buy an FTP program because it was easy to upload the files using their file manager, that is how a lot of web designers started learning how to make web sites.

They used to (maybe still do) offer free webhosting thus all the backlinks, Google PR, and 390,000 pgs. content

I donīt think they offer free hosting anymore. They certainly do have a good position for a business search engine wise

Over the past few years, I've seen NetFirms and FortuneCity go from #1 - #2

- Too good of positions :: Funny part is, you don't hear too much about them. At least not on these boards.
