Question

domain/subdomain confusion

Ok, I have 2 domains and one account setup at my host. Can I setup my other site as a subdomain of the hosted account and still use the regular domain name (www.domain.com) to point to the subdomain?

How do I set the DNS info on the sub account to point?

Help please?!

-King

That would be an excellent question to ask your host!

What he/she say when you asked?

Be sure to let us know how you went.

Also, be prepared to be disappointed.

If you aren't allowed, your best bet would be to use something like www.mydomain.com to redirect www.domain2.com to domain2.domain1.com if that makes any sense

subdomain

You wouldn't use a subdomain but you could "forward" the domain to a subdirectory. You can do this through the dns system (ask your host). If they will not do it (because they want to sell you another plan) then go to a professional dns service (ultradns.com, easydns etc)

You can also do this with scripting althought the dns system is easier.
