Billing issues were going out of hand here at BVS hence we implemented a new billing system as you can see but it wasn't helping since a lot of customers just decided not to pay hence to get the customers attention we just pulled off the servers at SM, they didn't pull it on us and you can call them to verify since we have already paid them but we wanted to make sure that we are covered.
From my support ticket. They just keep getting better and better. Id move already but due to some of the software it would take a week to transfer.

I get a different story:

Quote:
I hate to be hard on you and the rest of our customers but this is due to the strict billing policy that Server Matrix has come up with. If we do not pay them by the 22nd of every month the machine automatically gets billed for the next month and we cannot afford to lose more money. Please let me know when you can arrange to pay for your server and I can help you out.

Hi Steven,

Even though our previous and current customers have subscription payments issues have been bought up with paypal. Secondly we do no offer any refunds on payment. I am sorry if I do sound rude to you but if we do not receive payment for your server for the upcoming month by tonight then we will be forced to cancel your server since Server Matrix is putting the pressure on us and moreover we cannot afford to lose any more.

Thank You for your understanding.
Daryl
Now im shitcanned Fun fun fun.

We have to make sure all payments are received by 21st of the month since the 7 day cancellation period by Server Matrix really hits us in the face else we will be billed for another month when sometimes even though some of our customers have subscription links and paypal automatically cancels them if there is no money in their account and there was no way of us keeping track of it. Hence to be on the safe side we implemented a new billing system to avoid these errors.

So rather than emailing everyone a month before so they can be prepared (perhaps by adjusting their own billing system), you just pull the plug and say "you've got until tonight, or server goes bye bye?"

Yes but you refuse to refund me for the portion of this month that i am getting short changed. Very unprofessional, the whole deal. After this month we are gone.

Yeah that is real lame of them to do. Its weekend after all and no ones home most of the time.

Well we had no choice to do so. We had emailed our customers but for some reason some of them complain they haven't received it. We emailed all our customers about 3 days back plus today before posting here. We only pulled the machines after we posted here so we can tell our customers where to contact if their machines are down.

Never recieved any notification of this at all, no email no phone call. This is the 2nd time in 6 months that this has happened. Pulled servers for paying customers who have never been late.

Would you be kind enough to paste a copy of the email here, along with the exact date and time you sent it? I'd like to check if it got junked, or if I didn't receive anything at all. Besides, 3 days for something like this is not really adequate IMHO - I'm sure 30 days is considered fair for changes in rates or billing dates.

Jason you said you didn't receive email because your email was hosted on your server but we did email our customers. In the future we will make sure to call them all personally if it gets down to it.
