Celeron 2.4 has 1gb ram with TWO 80gb hdds and 1000gb bw..

and Dual xeon 2.4 has 512mb ram with 40gb hdd and 300gb bw and its vps.

    first one is 75usd
    second one is 50usd

    both includes directadmin cp.

As always : Depends on the use

The second one offers really small bw/ram and thatwhy its cheap.
Even i think its really cheap for a dual Xeon. Warn yourself !

Keep in mind, that what you asked for is two extremly different config ...

    Huh !!!!!????
Why ? it's because the first one come with more space and bw ?

There is many other things you shoud know before you make your choice.
Then keep in mind: you get what you pay for !

first one for sure. room for light backups on the second drive.

Also 512 for dual procs isn't that great. I rather have more ram and a dedicated proc. It's says a VPS, how many VPS's are on that dual machine?

No thanx...i did the experience before and i lost big money and reputation.
Sure there is other vps on the same server but the original RAM is big.

I have come from a VPS, which I like the performance and quality of but a dedicated server offers you so much more, you are in control of the overall load of that machine. Even with VPS, scripts can run out of control and slow down your machine. I have had this with UML and Virtuozzo. Now at least for me it did not happen often but, I like the full control and power with dedicated.

You might want to think about a Athlon instead of a Celeron, more power for the buck.

i agree dedicated server will be better but not every server is goodand not every provider is good.

Jippi said he is thinking to host 100 normal websites with low traffic so if i have to choose between that celeron he said about and a vps from servint or powervps i should take the vps and not go with very cheap dedicated.
Jippi think twice and read past experiences you can found in this froum.
