Sueing Stories

After been talking in another topic, i have decided to ask all you about any sueing stories you know off (redicoulus wins etc)

Take this one, this cracks me up:

A man was sueing his next door neighbour because his dog bit him. The guy did win, however not as much as he intended. The reason for the pay out being lower was because the judge took into consideration the following factors:

a) the dog was tired up
b) the guy had been shooting at the dog all day with a BB gun.

And one other story, was the one with the guy with the motorhome, he was driving along at 50, put on cruise control and went in the back to make a cup of tea. Then he crashed.

and sued the motorhome makers for not telling him cruise control doesnt drive for you.

Any other stories?

I know a person (my mothers friend) who got sent to court. She hurt her back while working a long time ago at a mall (night crew). So she had to hire help to help keep things clean. The person who was helping her was just suppose to help in the house. So later on everything seem to be okay. Then one day the lady came in and said she tripped outside (where no one is suppose to be). She went in played some cards, and left. The next few days or what ever (cant remember) she went to court. She said she had emotional problems, hurt her leg, blah blah blah. Guess what she won! How sad is that.

I remember reading about a burglar who fall from the roof while doing his biz. He sued the house owner for that dangerous roof and I think he won. Anyone remembered that case? USA justice is fantastic sometimes : )

LOL

thats just reminded me of another one that i read about.

a family or going on holiday, and were loading up their car, as their back was turned, a burglar sneaks into the garage. then the door is shut, as they drive off to their destination.

The interior door is also locked. So this guy is stuck in here for 2 weeks, having to survive on dog biscuits and pepsi.

then he sues the house owners for keeping him hostage and won.

i dont know the truth of this, but it wouldnt surprise me if it was.

Yup it was a while ago if I remember correct. Though I do not remember the whole story, but if I remember right he did win.
