yawns:::

Deducting the erroneous Bush votes from his total could not change the election's outcome, and there were no signs of other errors in Ohio's electronic machines, said Carlo LoParo, spokesman for Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell.

While it most likely would not have changed the outcome, I do still find this a little disturbing.

I'm least bit surprised.

Much of Ohio used Diebold's voting machines....this is the same company whose CEO promised to "deliver electoral votes" to Bush.

My reply was not intended to say this at all. Just to clear it up: I'll accept fully whomever won, but anything like this that pops up (on either side) is disturbing to me.

I am talking about the people who just dont get it. Like the guy that lives down the street from me. He voted Kerry, but think Bush cheated all the way with the popular vote and EV.

Yes, we're glad indeed that finally Bush got elected.

I think electronic voting booths should be outlawed period to stop this from ever happening. We used actual paper ballots.

crushed, lmao.... more like squeaked by. It came down to one state in essense. These finding are not surprising to me, considering the states own IT department testified in court on behalf of the plantiff... ie the people of Ohio; that the machines could not collect votes properly and that they could easily be manipulated, go figure.

I hope Bush does a good job, or better yet... he has to do better then what he's done or republicans will lose out to democrats in the next election.

BUSH
286
59,459,765 (51% total)

KERRY
252
55,949,407 (48% total)

That is is beyond a little pass. He got 34 more electoral votes, and 3,510,358 more in popular vote. Iowa had voted Democratic since 1984, and Bush won that state.

It's more like: they can't handle the truth.

Or, they just don't want to understand it's over.

Or, they will continue to be in denial for 4 years.

Next will come the conspiracy theories about how the whole election was rigged in all the red states. No conspiracy in the blue states, mind you.

Agreed, in California we used an ink dot this year that was very close to the punch ballots. In fact this was to make sure we didnt have any hanging paper from the ballots like they did in Florida.

The electronic machines should produce a paper trial and or ballot. This allows for 2 checks and balance type systems. A paper trial, and a database for comparing both to one another.
