Has anyone attended one of these before and is it woth it?
What were your experiences?
Likes or dislikes?
Your feeling after attending the whole thing?

I will starting my hosting business in January of 05' and I am hoping this will open my eyes to unseen opportunities.

If you have not heard of it...here's the addy. Let me know what you think! HostingCon

There's a forum here dedicated specifically to HostingCon, it's right under the lounge. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first convention of its kind for the hosting industry. Definitely attend, I'm sure you'll learn a lot.

Regards,
Waylon

Thank you all for replying. My apologies for not seeing the section specifically for the convention under the lounge.

I am really looking forward to this convention. I have a feeling that they will have to find more room for all of the people wishing to attend. I hope to register soon and be there both days.

Thanks for your interest! We think it's going to be a very informative couple of days.

There actually WAS a hosting industry convention in 2001 called the WHExpo, but that was the only year it was held.

This is, however, the first year for HostingCon. This is a brand new conference and it's our first conference we've ever produced, so it's been an interesting learning experience so far!

I'm really looking forward to it, though. I think it's going to be a great opportunity for everyone who attends to learn from the best and brightest in the industry.

i think all the host that attend are true hosting providors. Not kiddie hosts. If you can afford to attend it will show your commitment to the hosting industry.

Not sure about video taping it but we are looking into other possible options and we are open to suggestions of how it could still be of some benifit to those who cant attend as our main purpose is education afterall.. Mouse
