Whoa... What Just Happened?!?
WHT Members,
Today, as most of you have likely noticed, WebHostingTalk.com has a new, updated skin. This skin has been in development and testing for the past month, and we thank all of the Community Leaders and Liaisons who participated in testing it prior to launch today.
The new skin utilizes the same color set as the previous default skin, but features an updated look and feel. We have made every effort to keep the download time for the new skin as close as possible to the old skin. Though it has been tested by a small group of users, the true test of the skin always comes when it is released to the entire membership base. Please report any bugs or issues with the skin to us via this thread.
Unlike with all of our other discussion sites, we are leaving the old WHT skin as an available option to you via your control panel. If for some reason you would like WHT to continue to look like it did before today, you can easily select the previous skin by selecting PROFILE > EDIT OPTIONS then selecting it from the drop down box called STYLE SET under OTHER OPTIONS. It is important to note that though we make the old skin still available to you, it is no longer a supported skin and thus no enhancements to it will be made. As such, we encourage utilizing the new default skin so that as new upgrades and enhancements are made, you will be able to take advantage of them.
We hope that you like and enjoy the updated look of WebHostingTalk.com!Best Regards,
Ryan Elledge

Is the 'updated look' just for the forum homepage? That's the only page that has changed for me.
Edit: nevermind, all the pages have changed now<?php include_once('signature'); ?>

Crap, next time warn me I almost had a seizure!
Well, the skin is not consistent at all.
It only works part of the time, and to be brutally honest, I hate it.
Now I realize that you want to upgrade to VB3, I'm sure some people will welcome the new skin.
However, please do port the usual skin to VB3 as well.
Its not hard at all, and if its too much trouble I'll even do it myself! I sure as hell do not want to get stuck with the new skin once the VB3 port is done.

As I indicated, the old skin is no longer a supported skin. Oh, and your feedback has no substance so not much we can do to help ya. Feel free to go change back to the old skin though.

I dont want to start anything, but making one skin and then redoing its color scheme over and over and over and over again... ehh.
I personally dont like it, and I'm not going to argue.
All I am saying is, that the usual skin should be ported as well.

The home page uses the old skin, the inside pages use the new skin. What gives? I tried everything, including opening a new browser, and that's what I'm getting...

I really like the new skin.
Two problems, however:
- Login page has not been customized
- In Opera, when you mouseover the two JS dropdowns, the fields in the iNet bar disappear
- In Opera, the quickreply box doesnt look right
- I personally don't care for the mouseover color of the bottom links, and the orange arrows dont look to great either--they also look offcenter
- Also, I think a small gradient would look better for the post-indicators, instead of the crosshair
- The white bar below the dark blue one makes the top seem a little cluttered
- The 'smilies' box could stand to be improved, too--along with the icons on the post page (a little css fixup would look good)
Just a few things I noticed.Last edited by Dan L; 10-29-2004 at 11:10 AM.

Paul, it will happen by itself, give it some time.

For those having trouble with it not working on all pages:
Try going to User CP > Options > select 'WHT_v3'. I did that and it's working on all pages.<?php include_once('signature'); ?>
