Question

DNS Issues

I registered a new domain last week (Tuesday) with Network Solutions. I instantly added the correct domain servers but the info never changed from the default WORLDNIC servers. I changed them again on Wednesday but nothing.

I called Friday AM and had support change them. Still no change. I can change any other account records for my other domains the things work fine. Any thoughts other than calling tomorrow and raising heck?

Good luck.

You picked the most unpredictable registrar on the planet.

Sometimes they are easy to work with and do things immediately. Other times it seems to take an act of God, and you're not sure which god to make your offering to.

Hey - things could be worst. You could have used register.com With register.com you count the WEEKS not days before simple requests (and rather crucial requests, eg, name server IPs) are attended to.

Do a whois on the nameservers with the whois of Netsol.

Among several frustrating things with Netsol are:

1. They sometimes do not recognize official nameservers if they are not also actually registered with them.

2. If the nameservers you specified are invalid they don't tell you. They just never make the change. And you wait and wait and wait...

I have another domain (http://www.gotvirus.info) using the same host (gearhost) and the same name servers. They changed on the first try and are working.
