Addon domain hosting or not?

Say you have 3 sites to host. Is it better to have them all on one host using the addon domain feature or, put them on 3 separate webhosts?

What are the disadvantages of addon domains?

Thanks!

Management is alot easier on 1 host. 1 bill, 1 site to monitor.

Instead of 3 logons, 3 bills, 3 servers to monitor, 3 support tech numbers, etc.

If you interlink your 3 sites for SEO purposes, it's been said (although not proven AFAIK) that it is better to have your websites on different C class IPs. So hosting them at different hosts could (supposedly) be beneficial.

From a web host point of view, I would say have three different accounts . From a web user I would just say you should have one account.

Ya, one account is probally the best. Unless you have really mission critical stuff then you could go three ways ensuring at least 2/3 sites would be up at all times.

From a hosts perspective I would think 1 account would work better as well. My theory is the more a person buys the quicker I can fill a server. And less people per server equals less support time needed per server which equals lower operating costs.
