Hi all

got this problem with a Win XP laptop

when i go to my computer the CD Rom Icon and the Floppy Drive ICon is showing up as a "network drive" as oppose to its normal icon

It works normally when the icon is clicked but it looks misleading

any ideas how to go about changing this or what it is?

Is the Cd-rom and floppy interchangeable? Do you have remove one to use the other?

Yup thats right both are interchangeable....have to remove one to add the other..

I know this works for folders and apps, not sure about hardware but:
right click -> properties, and look for change icon

I believe that's why they will be displayed as network icons, because they interchangeable.
