I would like a shell script or any other means by which you can implement the following.

Basically, I want to set it so that if any IP address occurs in my exim_rejectlog more than X number of times, then that IP gets added to my APF deny_hosts.rules file.

I am looking for a quick turn around, I believe this should be pretty easy and straightforward for those familiar with shell scripting. System is running Red Hat Linux Enterprise.

Any additional info such as formats of the above files etc are available on request.
