For those that may have noticed or were wondering:
Xeo Communications experienced a severe Apache crash today during a supposed routine update via cPanel. This ultimately resulted in certain modules being removed, the misconfiguration of Apache and the creation of an incompatible version of Perl.
HTTP access to all sites was unavailable for approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours, as technicians worked on fixing the problem and ensuring that this would not happen again.
We took advantage of this and used some of the downtime to reconfigure all system software to help maximize their performance on the server in the future.
To compensate for the downtime experienced today, all clients were automatically credited with an additional month of service on their account.
