    * Location of file to place ( mysql --local-infile=1 ) in

Where to cut and paste this on a unix server to start mysql --local--infile=1? ( e.g. c:\mysql\bin> mysql --local-infile=1 )

    I read:
either start mysql with the option --local-infile=1

    e.g. c:\mysql\bin> mysql --local-infile=1

    Greetings:

If on RedHat, CentOS, or Fedora, look at /etc/rc.d/init.d/mysql (it may or may not have a "d" at the end as in mysqld)

On FreeBSD, check in /usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql-server.sh (or something similar with mysql in it).

    Thank you.
