Hello,

Can someone please help me?

I just checked the CPU status of our dedicated server and it shows under current CPU usage in cpanel

26925 nobody 0 89.4 0.3 [httpd]

Under Server Status

nobody 98.98 0.38 0.0 [HIGHTLIGHTED IN RED]
Top Process %CPU 96.2 [httpd]
Top Process %CPU 96.1 [httpd]
Top Process %CPU 96.0 [httpd]

I restarted Apache and MySQL on fedora 2.4Ghz,1GB RAM but it didn't fix the problem.

Current Memory Usage
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 1031644 956800 74844 0 122728 461112
-/+ buffers/cache: 372960 658684
Swap: 2040244 1408 2038836
Total: 3071888 958208 2113680

Also the free RAM is low.

Is this common?

Can someone please help me? Thanks. The last thing that I want to do is restart as many people are connected to our server.

dos attack?

netstat -an | sort +4
look for the same ip showing up 100 times(10-15 is fine) and then ban them with apf/iptables

dont ban the ip of your server btw

You can check Apache status in WHM also to see if any improper activity is on process.
