Recommendations for ASP.NET hosting

I am evalutating different asp.net hosts for a new site my company will be putting out.

I need asp.net, sqlserver, etc.

Economical is a plus, but more so, I'd like somone that people have had good experiences with. I dealt with brinkster, and they didnt seem like they knew what was going on 95% of the time.

Shared host is the way to go for me.

Any advice, please let me know.

My recommendation goes to www.fluidhosting.com. I have had two accounts with them for several months and they have been around for a few years. They routinely get good reviews and keep their customers satisfied.

Basically, the provide great support, good packages, and a great attitude which makes using them very pleasent.

Their uptime is also very good.

If you have any specific questions, you can PM me and I will try to answer or you can post here.

I used VortechHosting.com for 2 years. HIGHLY recommend them.

Edited to say the only reason I left them was because I needed a dedicated server...

Hi,
I would suggest you to search for it in google or check out http://www.asp.net/Hosters/
Select 3-4 companies and then ask people what they do they feel about those companies,i.e how would they rate those companies.
ALL THE BEST!

IMO, check out www.seekdotnet.com. I'm new with them, but I like their plans, and I had a good experience with their support.

All the best!

WinSave???? WinSave doesn't even offer ASP.NET hosting

For .net hosting, I recommend MaximumASP or Discountasp

I dont really see the point of the last post, but anyways...

I think you should define economical. One of the main differences between windows hosting plans is the amount of space allocated for your Sequel server database. It varies so much between providers that I think you should include it so people can give recommendations that meet your needs.

Vortech doesn't seem to be interested in customers who use a Mozilla derivative as their browser

Your "facts" have nothing to do with what is being asked for.

Did you know there was a major security flaw discovered in PHP 4.x not so long ago? Almost every language till date has had security holes discovered in them.

And if you dig through the details properly, you'd realise that this issue affects only a limited number of sites using IIS/Windows authentication to password protect areas of their sites. A major have authentication inbuilt into their .NET scripts. Microsoft's KB has a fix to this issue if you cared to read.

A security flaw in Microsoft's ASP.NET technology could allow intruders to enter password-protected areas of a web site by altering a URL. A fix is not yet available, but Microsoft is offfering guidelines to help ASP.NET users secure their sites against intrusion attempts.

A FIX IS NOT YET AVAILABLE.

i post this because the person is looking for this type of service, they should have the opportunity to be aware of important issues such as this. why shouldnt they?

Lauren, you are obviously showing your complete ignorance to the subject
Visit the link provided. Microsoft has a KB article on this issue that tells how developers can avoid this problem by a few lines of code

The poster is looking for an ASP.NET host, not on advice whether he or she should be using ASP.NET.

PHP has been exposed with security holes before, almost every language has Lauren. I don't understand the point of this post

And FYI Lauren, Microsoft has a very good tool called IISLockDown/URLSCAN which prevents malformed URLs from being processed by ASP. So this issue would probably not affect alot of websites on properly secured hosts.
