FuitatNet

I had an account with FuitatNet (FNET) for about two weeks now. I signed up for a new account with TurnkeyResellers yesterday and started moving my sites to them. I am now cancelling my FNET account.

Warning: If you are planning to run a personal site, and support or uptime is not very important, use fuitadnet. They have excellent packages and prices. If you want to run a business from FNET's site... Stay away. You are warned.

During my two week residence on FNET's servers, I had to log 4 support tickets (including 1 to cancel my account). One ticket has not been answered yet (even though I asked their support people about it on their IRC server and Live Chat services 3 times). I had to spend over 10 hours on some sort of Live Chat to get the other two tickets solved. I frequently got a answer of "the ticket has been forwarded to the correct department - we will get back to you". Nobody ever got back to me.

I was just on a Live Chat with somebody from FNET about the ticket to cancel my account (Live Chat and IRC are how you are supposed to get support). I am attaching my Chat Session (Deepali was friendly - it is attached to show the reasons for cancelling, and a sample of their very generic response you get for every ticket).

Deepali: hello
Juan: Hi Deepali
Deepali: how may i help you?
Juan: I just logged a new ticket (EKT-90413-796) - it is to cancel my account. Can you please process this for me?
Deepali: could you please hold on for a sec?
Deepali: let me check
Deepali: sir will you please let me know the reason for the cancellation
Juan: I've had several support tickets, and every time I had to sit with somebody in IRC or Live Chat before anything was done with this (there is still one outstanding ticket - I've asked about it 3 times). My site was also down for several hours yesterday - I couldn't even get to the fnet website or irc to report it. I want to run a business from the website starting in a week or two (just finishing things up), and just to get things setup properly, I had to sit with somebody in support for over 10 hours in the last two weeks. I don't want to take a chance if something happens when my site goes live.
Deepali: sir the issue is forwarded to the billing department
Deepali: and you will be updated soon
Juan: Thanks
Deepali: welcome

You really get the impression you have to beg if you want support. If you sit on their IRC server (mostly waiting), you see a lot of very unhappy clients with similar problems. The same on their forums. The FNET moderators are very helpful towards clients when they have problems, but you also frequently see those same moderators verbally attacking clients who complain about FNET services. On the WHT and FNET forums, you always see the moderators posting that "only 4 or 5 clients are unhappy" etc. Let's just say that I didn't see a lot of happy client on the FNET forums or IRC. I wonder how long it will take before a FNET moderator flames me here?

I AM A PAYING CUSTOMER - I DO NOT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH IT. You are providing a service, and I CAN cancel my account. You are not providing a unique service - I can get the same (and better) service somewhere else.

FNET has been receiving some very bad publicity around here lately. This seems like another typical case of bad support and billing issues that they provide.

You make a good point about their forums, especially the part about them flaming you. Their moderators seem(ed?) to have a very nasty habit of putting anyone that dislikes them down. They claim to not have been employed by FNET, but they sure did become defensive should a non-positive remark surface about them. I think that whole post editing fiasco was quite interesting as well.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with them, but I hope that you have better luck with your next host.

Domain theft

Ok well check this out everyone.

I had a dedicated server which i upgraded from a diamond resellera ccount and had tansfered my domain name to this crappy company back in june
I paid all charges and ever let my balance lapse... Anyway I jsut recently cancelled my dedicated server this month and they are holding my domain for Ranson so to speak
now i have 2 weeks left in my billing cycle here which means they get a free 85 bucks. they had installed fantastico on my old box andwere supposed to charge me the 25 bucks a week later which they never did they waited over a MONTH to invoice me and decided to to id when i canceleld my server. nwo theya re holding ( Or trying to) My Domain and wont unlock it so i can transfer it to My new host and registrar. anywa they are thieves and liars
Kumar has been nothing but a complete @ss to me from word go and i had every intention of paying the 25 untill the decided to steal my domain name. I have gone to emon they unlocked the domain for me and the @ssholes here Relocked it.

They are theives Liars and I highly discourage ANYONE form doing or continuing to do buisness with them. of you guys want a really good hosting provider with awesome security support and More space and bandwidth for cheper prices go to
HostDime url is hostdime.com

Bare in mind that it says fantastico (the 25 buck charge) Comes iwth all reseller accts free. and that iupgraded my resellera cct to a dedicated server AND Paid all the fees related to the domain name back in like june lol
