I'm experiencing a huge load in my new server right now, despite minimal traffic.

I was wondering if there are any tips to lower a server. I don't need mySQL opitmization, since the majority of the traffic is not accessing the mySQL db.

Perhaps you could post the output from "top" during the time your load is high?
