Hello due to conflicting issues with calculating shoutcast im wondering if someone has the formula for this. The casterclubs results seem far fetched and incorrect due to my monitoring and graphs per month of usage.

Their tool states 760GB and it only used 30GB.

okay.

16kbx60secx60minx24hr == transfer for 1 person per day and then multiply that by the users to get the total day average, then multiply by 30 to get the month total.

25 users at 128 bit rate for 30 days moved 24/7.... I'm getting all confused over here =P

Roughly 990 GB Bandwidth would be used in the month.

There are 8 bits in a byte, so 128kbps / 8 = 16 KB/s

25 Users * 16 KB/s = (4.0 * 10^2) KB/s sustained
(4.0 * 10^2) KB/s * 60 Seconds = (2.4 * 10^4) KB/s in a Minute
(2.4 * 10^4) KB/s * 60 Minutes = (1.44 * 10^6) KB/s in an Hour
(1.44 * 10^6) KB/s * 24 Hours = (3.456 * 10^7) KB/s in a Day
(3.456 * 10^7) KB/s * 30 Days = (1.0368 * 10^9) KB/s in a Month
(1.0368 * 10^9) / 1024 = (1.0125 * 10^6) MB used in the Month
(1.0125 * 10^6) / 1024 = (9.9 x 10^2 ) GB used in the Month.
