Okay just a little rant…

Why do people say they own there house? No one owns there house, because they rent it from the government. You still have to pay to keep your house, and if you do not pay you say good bye to your house.

No one rents from the government, they get mortgage(sp?)'s from banks, but some people have finished paying off their house.

Paying taxes is just a price we pay so we can tell people that we own our own house.

Though what happens if you do not pay your taxes? Your house gets taken away. So in away you are "renting" your house.

No, if you don't pay your taxes, you get the IRS on your *** and have to pay back taxes or go to jail, rarely do they take your house. And there is no direct correlation between taxes and your house, not everyone owns a house and they still pay taxes don't they?

Not sure of the relationship between your house and the govt. More like the house and the bank. The bank basically owns your house until you pay it off.

So if you do not pay your taxes you still keep your house? Where do you live? I know they will allow it to go over little bit, but after while they will do what they do. Though why is it that you buy a house then have to pay $600.00 a month? Really why?

Sorry just ranting about how stupid our government is...

Well I am talking about owning your house. Even when you own your house you have to pay all these stupid taxes which go up about $100.00 each year. At my old house my family was paying over $1900 a year. My friends house she lives in is paying $600.00 a month.

Why?

Because we have taxes in this country, including property taxes? If you don't like it, vote for a candidate who will lower taxes...

Haven't you seen that episode of family guy where peter gets all the papers filled out to declare his property seperate from the US, and then the US wages war against him?

That was a great episode.

In the State of FL, as well as other States, the Government cannot take away your home.

That's nothing. Try $10,000 a year in property tax, plus an add'tl $2200 for another home we have for vacation.

You still go to jail most likley if you do not pay your taxes. Which is total BS. Why should you keep paying more and more and more when you already paid for it?

Where does all the money go? It raises $100.00 and up most of the time which is crazy. It is cheaper to rent an apartment then to buy house and pay all the stupid taxes.
