Passworded directories

I have a passworded blog on my site. When sombody enters the name and password, they get into the blog just fine. The problem is, if they click on a link like "comments", they have to enter the password again! I bet that'll get annoying, so is there a way to prevent having to re-enter passwords in a directory?

Let me ask a simpler question. Is there a way to password a specific file, and NOT the whole directory?

OR

Is it possible to exclude certain files from protection within a passworded directory?

Its just too annoying having to enter a password for each page. There's gotta be a way around it..

It kinds of depends on the way you have it password protected.

is this beeing done by the blogscript itself, or does it make use of htaccess? in that case just have them mark the option 'save password'

edit; typo.

Yeah it uses htaccess. The whole /blog directory is protected. Even if you check the box to remember the pass, it'll still ask again when you try to click ona link withing the directory like "comments"

Is there a way to fix it?
