Why won't this bastard die?

I was watching the news forecast for Texas and it was talking about hurricane Ivan. Well Tropical Storm Ivan is heading for Texas and will likely affect me with some rain, but this sucks.

Why won't Ivan die!?

Lock and Load baby.

Actually, I don't know why the US doesn't do this, but I heard if they drop a plane full of salt into the hurricane it usually kills it. Why haven't they been researching this and think of all the money it could of saved.

Must be hard to get a plane into a hurricane. Much less with a payload of salt.

Also hurricanes are part of nature. There's no telling what would happen if they didn't occur and die naturally.

Actually the planes fly right above the hurricane. They do it all the time taking in scientific data of the hurricane.

Have you considered what kind of agricultural damage that salt may have? Or the damage it may cause? With SUE happy america why should the government stick its head on the line, if it doesn't work and that salt causes more damage to a building or whatever you know the owner is going to sue or at least try to..

Here's a good read..

I've heard the salt is redespoited by into the water. We are taking about before it even comes close to landfall. We are talking about in the middle of the ocean.

From how I look at it, if these hurricanes are getting pretty big and annoying, then maybe shooting it will shoo it away...
